Step one: how to connect over Bluetooth to your PC or TV

This kind of "phone as keyboard & mouse" app connects in the opposite way to a regular Bluetooth headset — instead of your phone searching for the other device, you let the other device find your phone. The first connection is easy if you follow these steps:

1. Open BL - Air Input and tap "Add Device".
2. Your phone shows a system dialog — allow it to be discoverable (so your phone is temporarily visible to others).
3. On your computer or TV, open Bluetooth settings and pick your phone's name from the device list.
4. Confirm the pairing code on both sides, and the app will show "Connected".

💡 Tip: Always start pairing from your Windows PC, Mac or TV (pick your phone in their Bluetooth settings) — not by searching from the phone. Once paired, the device appears in the app's device list — just tap it to connect next time.

After connecting, the bottom tabs let you switch freely between keyboard, mouse, presenter, TV remote and more. You can also tap the star next to a device to set it as your "default", and the app will automatically try to connect to it on the next launch.

Scenario 1: In the meeting room, your phone is the presentation clicker

Walk into the meeting room, connect your phone to your laptop, open BL - Air Input and switch to the "PPT" tab — now you have a professional presentation remote:

• Previous / Next — big buttons, so you won't mis-tap even while standing
• Laser pointer, pen and eraser — point out and draw on your slides directly
• Fullscreen, black screen, white screen — go black with one tap when you want all eyes on you
• Jump to page — type a page number to jump straight to any slide

No need to carry a separate physical clicker — just set your phone on the table and run the room.

Scenario 2: On the couch, your phone is the TV remote

Got an Android TV or Google TV? Open BL - Air Input, switch to the "TV" tab, and you've got D-pad navigation, OK, Home, Back and Menu, plus volume keys and a voice-assistant button — the tab is designed for the Android TV / Google TV remote layout, so you've got everything you need to drive your TV from the couch.

And because it all runs over the standard Bluetooth profile, there's nothing to install on the TV — just pair and go.

Scenario 3: At the desk, your phone is your keyboard and trackpad

Can't reach the laptop keyboard, or want to control your computer from the couch? BL - Air Input gives you a complete full-size keyboard with a number row, F1–F12 function keys and arrow keys, and lets you switch between QWERTY, numpad and symbol panels.

BL-Software Privacy Policy

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how BenWorks (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with our mobile applications. This is a shared privacy policy that applies to the BenWorks family of Android applications listed in the Scope section below.

We are an independent developer. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about the limited data our apps use.

2. Scope

This policy currently applies to the following application:

• BL Air Input (com.benlin.bl_air_input)

As we release additional applications, they will be added to this list. Where an app collects or uses data differently from what is described here, that difference will be noted explicitly in this policy.

3. Information We Collect

We do not ask you to create an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photos, precise location, microphone, or camera data.

The limited data involved in our apps is handled as follows:

a) Advertising identifier and advertising data.
BL Air Input displays advertisements through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google may access your device’s advertising identifier (Advertising ID) and related information such as general (non-precise) location derived from your IP address, device type, and ad interaction data. This data is collected and processed by Google in accordance with Google’s own privacy policy. We do not receive or store your advertising identifier ourselves.

b) Purchase status.
If you purchase the in-app “Pro” upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play Billing. We do not see or store your payment card details. We store only a non-personal flag on your device indicating whether the Pro upgrade is active, so the app can unlock the corresponding features offline.

c) Technical and diagnostic information.
The app and the third-party services it uses may process basic technical information such as device model, operating system version, and app version for the purpose of delivering and maintaining the service (for example, serving compatible ads or processing a purchase).

4. Third-Party Services

Our apps use the following third-party services, which may process data as described in their respective privacy policies:

• Google AdMob — advertising. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google Play Billing — in-app purchases. Privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
• Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — consent management (see Section 5).
• Google Play services — required for the services above to function.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Advertising and Consent

BL Air Input uses Google AdMob to display ads, and may show personalized or non-personalized advertising depending on your consent and region.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or another region where consent is required, the app will present a consent request using Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalized ads are shown. You may review or change your consent choices at any time from within the app’s settings (under the privacy section).

You can also reset or limit ad personalization at the device level through your device’s “Ads” settings (Google → Ads), or by deleting/resetting your Advertising ID.

6. Data Retention

We do not maintain our own servers or user databases for these apps. The only data stored locally on your device is the non-personal Pro upgrade status described in Section 3(b), which remains until you uninstall the app or it is cleared. Data processed by Google’s services is retained according to Google’s policies.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Your Choices and Rights

• You can withdraw or change your advertising consent at any time (Section 5).
• You can reset your device Advertising ID at any time through your device settings.
• You can uninstall the app at any time to stop all data processing associated with it.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have additional rights regarding the data processed by Google. Please refer to Google’s privacy policy for details on how to exercise those rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
